Man to Face Homicide Charge Over Fatal Fight in Adamawa

The Adamawa State Police Command has confirmed the death of one Musa Abdul following a violent altercation with Babangida Maunde, both residents of Kubaje Village in Toungo Local Government Area.

According to a statement issued on Tuesday by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the two individuals engaged in a physical fight after a minor disagreement, which resulted in Abdul sustaining fatal injuries.

“Musa Abdul was confirmed dead after sustaining various degrees of injuries during a fight with Babangida Maunde,” the statement said.

The police have commenced an investigation, and the suspect, Babangida Maunde, is to be arraigned in court on a charge of culpable homicide, which is punishable by death under Nigerian law.

The Command assured the public of its commitment to ensuring justice and urged residents to always seek peaceful means of resolving disputes.
