Two scholars from Modibbo Adama University (MAU), Yola, have been ranked among the Top 500 Research Authors in Nigeria for 2026 by Elsevier through its SciVal ranking.
The scholars are Dr. Edwin Samson Eyube of the Department of Physics and Dr. Umar Muhammad Modibbo of the Department of Operations Research.
The recognition highlights the growing research visibility and academic impact of the institution in Nigeria’s scholarly community.
According to available citation metrics, Eyube has recorded 741 citations on Google Scholar, while Modibbo has accumulated 1,471 citations, reflecting the influence of their research within the global academic space.
The inclusion of the two academics in the ranking underscores the university’s commitment to promoting research, innovation and academic excellence.
