MCRP Donates Agric, Learning Equipment to Ganye College

The Multi-Sectoral Crisis Recovery Project (MCRP) has handed over agricultural and educational equipment to the College of Agriculture, Ganye (Gyawana Campus) in Adamawa State, as part of efforts to strengthen agricultural education and promote practical training.

The handover, which took place at the campus on Wednesday, included a brand-new tractor with implements, modern laboratory equipment, a newly constructed block of two classrooms, a block of two laboratories, as well as classroom and office furniture.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Maurice Vunobolki, State Project Coordinator of MCRP, said the initiative aligns with the 8-point agenda of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and is geared towards revitalizing learning institutions affected by crisis and underdevelopment.

“This support is aimed at enhancing hands-on training for students in agriculture and related disciplines. It also contributes to regional food security and long-term economic recovery,” he said.

In his remarks, the Commissioner for Agriculture, Prof. David Finchiwa Jatau, described the intervention as a demonstration of Governor Fintiri’s commitment to rebuilding infrastructure and improving access to quality education and agricultural inputs.

Acting Provost of the college, Mr. Reuben Datsu, expressed appreciation to the state government and MCRP, noting that the equipment and facilities will significantly enhance both academic learning and field training.

The event was attended by representatives from Numan Local Government, youth and community leaders, as well as key stakeholders in the agricultural sector.
