The Managing Director/CEO of the North East Development Commission (NEDC), Mohamed G. Alkali, and some management staff of the commission, embarked on an assessment visit to the Namne Bridge along Wukari Road in Taraba State on Friday.
The bridge, which links the Northeast and Southeast regions of the country, has been severely damaged by massive flooding, cutting off a critical transportation artery.
During the visit, the NEDC team evaluated the extent of the damage and discussed potential solutions to restore the bridge and ensure the safe passage of people and goods.
