Missing Person: Police Seek Public Assistance To Find Unimaid Lecturer

The Adamawa State Police Command has announced the disappearance of Emmanuel Peter, a lecturer with the Department of Public Administration, Muhammadu Buhari University, formerly the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID).

Peter, aged 40, was declared missing after reportedly leaving his sickbed while receiving medical care at the psychiatric ward of the Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital (MAUTH), Yola. According to the police, he left the hospital without notifying medical personnel or relatives and has not been seen since.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the Command said the missing lecturer is dark in complexion and fluent in Hausa, Marghi and English. He resides at Polo High Court, opposite Redeem Christian Church in Maiduguri, Borno State.

The Police Command appealed to residents of Adamawa, Borno and neighbouring areas to assist in locating him, stressing that any credible information would aid ongoing efforts to find him.
