The Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) has dismissed recent propaganda spread by ISWAP terrorists, urging Kukawa and neighboring communities to flee or face attack. The MNJTF has assured residents of their safety and commitment to safeguarding the Lake Chad Basin communities.
In a statement on Friday, Lieutenant Colonel Abubakar Abdullahi, Chief Military Public Information Officer, described the propaganda as a “blatant act of intimidation” by a group on the verge of defeat.
He emphasized that the MNJTF and Nigerian Operation HADIN KAI troops are firmly committed to neutralizing any threats and pursuing Boko Haram terrorists.
The MNJTF urged residents to remain united, vigilant, and confident in their safety, and to report any suspicious activities to the troops immediately. The statement emphasized that collective vigilance and cooperation are essential during Operations Lake Sanity 2 and beyond.
The MNJTF’s reassurance comes as Operation Lake Sanity 2 continues to make progress, with multinational troops intensifying operations to neutralize Boko Haram terrorists. The operation aims to ensure the security of the Lake Chad basin region and restore peace to affected communities.
