The Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) has inducted new Military Staff Officers (MSOs) to strengthen its mission to restore peace and security in the Lake Chad region.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Olaniyi Osoba, Chief Military Information Officer, HQ MNJTF, Force Commander Major General Ibrahim Ali on wednesday charged the new officers to remain steadfast and dedicated to the mission’s guiding principles, emphasizing unity and common purpose.
He encouraged the new officers to embody values of courage, loyalty, and respect, and to lead by example, inspiring those around them to strive for the greater good.
The new MSOs, a diverse coalition of officers from Cameroon, Chad, Nigeria, Niger, and the Republic of Benin, will serve a one-year tour of duty, representing their nations with pride and determination.
They will undergo comprehensive training, covering topics such as the history and mandate of the MNJTF, customs, ethics, and traditions of the region.
