Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas, has said his local and foreign trips are not for fun but to attract investors to harness the rich natural potentials in the state.
Kefas made the clarification at the Christian Reformed Church-Nigeria, CRCN-LCC Wukari, during its Christmas Service.
He said he was only trying to bring people with the capacity to key into relevant sectors of the economy to advance the state in line with his mantra of ‘Moving Taraba Forward’.
The governor said, “My administration is committed to changing the narratives of the State and placing it on the pedestal of growth and development. It is through the spirit of unity and resilience that Taraba State will have dominion over its challenges,” he said.
Kefas then expressed the need for a high sense of kindness, compassion, love, and togetherness during the Christmas period.
He said it is his responsibility to redeem the youth indulging in the consumption of hard drugs and substance abuse, adding that he has engaged the services of specialists to assist him in the task.
The pastor in charge of CRCN-LCC Wukari, Reverend Ishaya Yakubu Tsojon, lauded Governor Kefas for the successes recorded so far by his administration.
In a sermon on the topic ‘Christmas Messages’, the clergyman described Christmas as a planned salvation work of God to redeem mankind.
The highlight of the service was a Special prayer for Governor Kefas, his wife, and the senator representing Taraba South Senatorial District, David Jimkuta, among others.
