My Successor Must Be A Grassroot Politician – Gov Fintiri

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State emphasized that his successor must possess grassroots political expertise and a willingness to engage with the masses for the state’s betterment.

He made this statement on Wednesday while receiving 226 wards chairmen and local and state executive members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on a solidarity visit at Government House, Yola.

Governor Fintiri commended the party’s leadership under Barrister Tahir Shehu and urged quarterly meetings to strengthen the party.

He expressed dissatisfaction with the Edo gubernatorial election outcome, describing it as undemocratic, and pledged to remain committed to the PDP, urging party members to collaborate for the country’s salvation.

Earlier, State PDP Chairman Barrister Abubakar Tahir Shehu who lauded the Governor for receiving numerous national award even from the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, led federal government said the party in the state is keenly following his activities and are proud of him.

He congratulated Governor Fintiri for doing Wonderfully well at the national party assignment in Edo, urging him to keep up the good work.

Barrister Shehu also commended the Governor for giving his best to the state hoping that his successor will build on his legacy, reaffirming their loyalty and support for him to succeed.
