The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has eliminated scores of Boko Haram terrorists in airstrikes conducted in Bula Marwa, Borno State.
Air Commodore Olusola F. Akinboyewa, Director of Public Relations and Information, NAF Headquarters, disclosed this in a statement on Monday.
Akinboyewa said the operation, which took place on Oct. 25, targeted two key locations identified as meeting sites for Boko Haram leaders through Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions.
“ISR footage captured suspected terrorists assembling on 12 motorcycles, while follow-up strikes neutralized additional terrorists.
“A precision airstrike also targeted a second meeting site under a large tree, achieving a direct hit and neutralizing numerous terrorists,” he said.
The airstrikes crippled the terrorists’ ability to launch ambushes or other hostile actions.
