NAUB Honours Mohammed Garba as Best Engineering Graduate

Engr. Mohammed Adamu Garba has been named the Overall Best Graduating Student of the Faculty of Engineering at the Nigerian Army University, Biu (NAUB), after earning a First-Class degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with a CGPA of 4.74.

Born on July 15, 2000, in Miringa Ward, Biu, Borno State, Garba began his education at Bright Future Model School, Maiduguri, before proceeding to Government Day Secondary School, Zajiri. He later earned a National Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Ramat Polytechnic, Maiduguri, graduating with Distinction.

In 2021, he gained admission to NAUB to further his studies. Despite financial difficulties, he combined academics with electrical installation work to support himself. His challenges worsened in December 2023 when he lost his father, the late Engr. Adamu Garba Miringa, who was his main sponsor.

Speaking during a visit to Jafi Electrical & IT Solutions, Garba described his academic journey as challenging but rewarding.

“I never imagined it would be this tough, but I refused to give up. My struggles shaped me into a stronger person, and I hope my story encourages others to keep pushing for their dreams,” he said.

Garba’s achievement highlights his resilience and serves as an inspiration to aspiring engineers.
