Nigerians can now enroll for the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) from the comfort of their homes through a newly introduced digital platform.
The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) announced on Monday that the platform, which requires only the National Identification Number (NIN), is designed to simplify access to affordable healthcare.
According to the Authority, the innovation will reduce physical bottlenecks in registration and ensure that more citizens benefit from health insurance coverage.
The NHIA urged Nigerians to visit http://enrollment.nhiaonline.com/login to get started.
It noted that the move is in line with the Federal Government’s efforts to achieve universal health coverage by leveraging technology.
