The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has released the list of shortlisted candidates for its ongoing recruitment exercise.
The announcement was made on Tuesday, with successful applicants receiving notifications through their registered email addresses.
The mail to successful applicants read in part:
“Dear [Candidate], the Management of the Nigeria Customs Service is pleased to inform you of your selection to participate in the next phase of its ongoing recruitment exercise. You are therefore advised to carefully go through the outlined instructions:
Candidate Number:
Reference Number: NCS/2024/GD/08/0….
The Service clarified that although the reference numbers carry “2024,” the recruitment process commenced in December 2024 and closed in January 2025.
According to the mail, the next phase will be an online Computer-Based Test (CBT), with the following guidelines:
*a. Candidates will be required to take an online CBT from any convenient place with internet access. They may choose to sit for the test at any internet-enabled computer centre.
b. The test is not mobile phone enabled. Candidates are to use laptops or desktops with webcam facility and full-screen display.
c. A facial verification process will be undertaken during log-in, hence candidates are advised to maintain clear facial looks for easy recognition.
d. The CBT application is sensitive to noise and body movements. Candidates are required to focus strictly on the computer throughout the test, as the system will automatically log out those who engage in excessive body movement or noisy behaviour. Background distractions and whispering may also be detected by the system.”*
The NCS urged applicants to comply strictly with the instructions and assured that further details on the recruitment exercise would be communicated only through its official channels.
