
Troops of the Joint Task Force have successfully repelled a Boko Haram attack on a military base in Waga Village, Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
This was disclosed by Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency expert focused on the Lake Chad region, in a post on his X handle.
According to intelligence sources, the attack occurred around 3:30 a.m. on Friday when suspected terrorists launched an assault on the military base.
The troops swiftly responded, engaging the insurgents in a gunfight that forced them to retreat.
Makama reported that sources confirmed there were no casualties among security personnel or residents of the community. He added that normalcy has since been restored.
Security forces continue to maintain a strong presence in the area to prevent further attacks and ensure the safety of residents.
