NISMA Honours Zulum’s Aides With Fellowship, 7 Others As Members

BSF, BCW, APC New media reps amongst honourees

The Senior Special Assistant to Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, on New Media, Abdurrahman Ahmed Bundi, was on Wednesday conferred with a Fellowship award by the Nigerian Institute of Social Media Analysts (NISMA).

Seven of the Governor’s Social Media associates were also honoured.

The induction ceremony was performed at Usman Baba Alkali Hall located in the Nigerian Police School of Public Relations in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

Seven other social media associates of the governor were also inducted as members of the institute.

They include the SA on Photography to Governor Zulum, Mohammed Alhaji Gana (who is a key member of the Borno Community Watch, BCW), the Coordinator of Borno Social Media Frontiers, BSF, Habu Kale Tijjani, and coordinator of Borno APC New Media, Mohammed Sheriff.

Others included Dogo Mohammed Shettima from BSF, Mohammed Jidda from BCW, Bulama Mohammed Bukar from APC New Media and Aisha Sanusi Mafindi from BSF.

NISMA is a Professional, Academic and examination body for social media experts and media practitioners who aim to advance their career and education in social media management and its regulation.

Speaking at the maiden ceremony, the president of the institute, represented by Professor Suleiman Mande said a total of 38 members comprising 5 senior fellows, 7 fellows, 23 full members and 3 associate members were inducted.

He charged the newly inducted members to imbibe professionalism in all their social media activities and be good ambassadors of the Nigerian Institute of Social Media Analysts.
