
The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), in collaboration with CISCO, has announced the commencement of a free online cybersecurity training programme for Nigerians.
The initiative, part of activities marking Cybersecurity Awareness Month 2025, is designed to equip participants with essential digital safety and cybersecurity skills.
According to NITDA, the training aims to build national capacity in cybersecurity, promote responsible online behaviour, and prepare participants for global digital opportunities.

The agency stated that the application window is open throughout October and will close on Oct. 31, 2025.
NITDA urged Nigerians, especially youths and professionals in the ICT sector, to take advantage of the free training to enhance their knowledge and contribute to national cybersecurity resilience.
