Nigeria National League (NNL) club Gombe United have parted ways with their head coach, Bala Nkiyu.
The club confirmed his dismissal in an official statement on Monday, stating that both parties reached the decision by mutual consent.
“The management of Gombe United FC wishes to notify the public that it has parted ways with its technical adviser, Bala Nkiyu, by mutual consent,” the statement read.
The club expressed appreciation for Nkiyu’s contributions during his tenure and wished him success in his future endeavors.
Gombe United also announced that efforts are underway to appoint a new head coach as they intensify preparations for the second half of the season.
The Savannah Scorpions will be looking to improve their performance in the ongoing NNL campaign under new leadership.
