Yola Electricity Distribution Company (YEDC) on Tuesday announced a planned power outage affecting parts of Adamawa, Borno, Taraba, and Yobe States.
According to YEDC, the outage will last from 10:00 AM on Tuesday to 5:00 PM on Saturday due to maintenance and upgrade works by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) on the Jos-Gombe 330kV and Jos-Bauchi-Gombe 132kV transmission lines.
Some areas will receive power from alternative sources, including Biu and Baga Road in Maiduguri.
YEDC assures customers that normal supply will resume after the work is completed.
