Northeast Hunters Association Vows To Fight Insecurity In Adamawa

The acting chairman of the Northeast Hunters Association, Modibbo Idris Usman Tola, has reiterated the group’s commitment to partnering with security operatives to combat insurgency, kidnappings, and criminal activities of the notorious Shilla boys in Adamawa State.

Speaking at his inauguration on Saturday at the Mayo-Belwa local government secretariat, Tola pledged to work tirelessly to ensure peace and security in the region.

The secretary-general of the hunters Association, Muhammad Ibrahim, presented Tola with an appointment letter, citing his contributions as the reason for his elevation from organizing secretary to acting chairman.

Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe, representing Adamawa South, promised legislative support to the hunters Association at the national level.

Lawmakers Musa Kallamu and Babangida Njidda urged Tola to emulate the leadership qualities of late chairman Muhammadu Usman Tola in coordinating the fight against criminal activities.

The Permanent Secretary for Security at the Government House in Yola, Suleiman Usman Pallam, assured the group of the government’s continued support for their operations.

Tola commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his logistics support and pledged to do more to ensure a peaceful and secure environment.

The event was attended by various stakeholders who offered goodwill messages, solidifying the commitment to combat insecurity in Adamawa State.
