A National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, Mary Michael, has generously donated the sum of N50,000 to support flood victims in Maiduguri.
Miss Mary, a native of Borno State from Askira Uba Local Government Area, was among the Corps members involved in the flood verification process. Deeply moved by the plight of the affected communities, she decided to contribute to the ongoing relief efforts.
While presenting the cash donation, Miss Mary shared that her participation in the verification process allowed her to witness firsthand the devastating impact of the floods. Touched by the suffering of those affected, she felt compelled to offer her support.
Her donation will be used to provide essential supplies and much-needed assistance to the flood victims, helping them recover from the disaster.
If only Mr President can wrest himself from the gate keepers of his tribal enclave and see that there are Nigerians such as this to work with and deploy, we might as Nigerians have hope yet!
