Over 2,400 Beneficiaries of SNELEI Receive Livelihood Packages In Yobe

In line with His Excellency Governor Mai Mala Buni approval,over 2,400 Pre Registered Beneficiary of SNELEI recieved their livelihood package in yobe state on Tuesday.

Dr. Mohammed Goje, Executive Secretary Yobe State Emergency Management Agency (YOSEMA), released in a statement.

SNELEI is a Federal Government of Nigeria special Project being Implemented by National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Nigeria in partnership with SEMA. The project is Targeting 24,263 HOUSEHOLDS in Yobe State.

This phase of intervention which started since August 2023 has so far reached 12,124 Households which is 50% of the total Approved Households.

Package received by beneficiaries include:

RICE SEEDLING BASKET
i. Rice Seeds
ii.Herbicides
iii.Pesticides
iv Growth Enhancers
v.Fertilizer
vi. Water Pump

SORGHUM SEEDLING BASKET
i. Sorghum Seeds
ii. Herbicides
iii. Pesticides
iv. Growth Enhancers
v. Fertilizer
vi. 16 Liter Knapsac Sprayer

COWPEA SEEDLING BASKET
i. Cowpea Seeds
ii. Herbicides
iii. Pesticides
iv. Growth Enhancers
v. 16 Liter Knapsac Sprayer

Flagging off the distribution, Senior Special Adviser to His Excellency (Youths) Hon Nuhu Hashimu Mai Lambu call on beneficiaries to make good use of the items for the intended purpose and warned them not to sale out the items, he also called on NEMA to bring more of this and other livelihood support as it will go a long way in making them independent and empowered.

In Another remark the MD of YMFB and a farmer Dr Sheriff Almuhajir explained how valuable is this kits and the economic importance and value chain if used wisely, he thank NEMA for this and many other supports to boost the economy of the beneficiary.

Representative of DG NEMA and team lead Hajiya Binta appreciate Yobe State Government for the reception and orderliness in the distribution processes.
