The Adamawa State Poverty Alleviation and Wealth Creation Agency (PAWECA) has clarified that previous beneficiaries of the Fintiri Business Wallet (FBW) Programme remain fully eligible to benefit from the ongoing phase of the scheme.
The clarification was issued in an official statement signed by the Director General, Dr Michael Zira, following widespread rumours suggesting that individuals who received support in earlier phases were no longer permitted to apply.
Dr Zira urged the public to disregard what he described as misleading and unfounded reports, stressing that the FBW Programme was specifically designed to accommodate both new and returning beneficiaries.
According to PAWECA, the initiative continues to target small business owners, traders, artisans and low-income earners across Adamawa State with the aim of expanding economic opportunities, boosting micro-enterprises, and strengthening financial inclusion.
“The FBW Programme does not exclude any resident who benefited previously. The goal is to support more small businesses and ensure wider participation,” the agency reiterated.
PAWECA advised residents to rely only on official communications from the agency and the Adamawa State Government as the programme progresses, assuring the public of transparency and inclusivity in the ongoing phase.
The Fintiri Business Wallet remains one of the state’s flagship economic empowerment programmes under Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, designed to cushion economic hardship and stimulate local enterprise growth.
