In the early hours of Wednesday, the police at Jimeta Division in Yola North Local Government Area, Adamawa State, conducted a successful operation in collaboration with vigilante groups along Rumde, targeting the notorious SHILA gang members wielding sharp daggers and knives engaged in robbery activities.
During the operation, fifteen individuals suspected to be part of the criminal gang were apprehended, and a significant amount of dangerous weapons and illicit items were seized.
The recovered items included four sharp daggers, three knives, two mobile handsets, nineteen thousand naira (N19,000) in cash, as well as a quantity of hard drugs, among other incriminating materials.
The suspects are:
