In a successful joint operation, the Police Response Unit, Haba Maza, and the State Intelligence Department have apprehended a suspect, Sani Musa, 22, of Nayi-Nawa ward, Damaturu, in connection with the stabbing of a young salesgirl.
According to a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, Yobe State Command, DSP Dungus Abdulkarim, on Wednesday, the suspect was arrested in a hideout with the victim’s snatched cell phone, an Itel A663LC with an MTN Sim Card, as well as other assorted charms.
The PPRO revealed that the suspect confessed to the crime during police interrogation. A discrete investigation has commenced, and proactive measures have been taken to prevent future occurrences.
