Police Arrest Two Armed Robbery Suspects, Recover Stolen Vehicle in Yola

Operatives of the Adamawa State Police Command have apprehended two suspected armed robbers and recovered a stolen vehicle following a coordinated operation in Yola.

According to a statement issued on Saturday by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the arrest was made by officers from the Yolde Pate Divisional Police Headquarters, led by SP Abdullahi Abubakar, after receiving credible intelligence.

The suspects, identified as Emmanuel Sale, 28, and Jibrilla Hassan, 36, both residents of Sabon Gari, Jalingo, Taraba State, were said to have stolen a black Honda Accord (2015 model) belonging to one Sadisu Umar Sani in Sabon Gari, Jalingo, before relocating the vehicle to Yola.

“Acting on the intelligence, our officers moved swiftly and successfully arrested the suspects and recovered the stolen vehicle,” the statement said.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Dankombo Morris, psc(+), commended the operatives for their professionalism and prompt response, directing that the matter be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Yola, for discreet investigation.

He also instructed the SCID to collaborate with the Taraba State Police Command to ensure diligent prosecution of the suspects.

The command reassured residents of its unwavering commitment to protecting lives and property and urged the public to continue providing timely and useful information to aid security operations.
