Police In Borno Repel ISWAP Attack, Lost 2 Rifles

The Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), attacked men of the Nigerian Police Force at a checkpoint in Mairari in Konduga Local Government Area in Borno.

According to Zagazola Makama, the attack occurred on Monday night, Dec. 4, when the attackers stormed the Police crack team FOB base.

Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama that a heavy gun battle ensued between the police and the ISWAP terrorists which lasted for 15 minutes, forcing the terrorists to withdraw.

The sources said that no life was lost, or injuries but the terrorists took away two rifles belonging to the police while the Police Hilux Armored Personnel Carrier vehicle was damaged.
