Pray for Tinubu, Leaders, Nigeria, Gov. Buni Urges Citizens

Gov. Mai Mala Buni of Yobe has called on Nigerians to pray for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, other leaders, and security operatives for divine guidance and improved security across the country.

Buni made the appeal on Saturday in Damaturu when the leadership of the Sheikh Usman Dahiru Bauchi Foundation paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House.

He stressed that prayers provide leaders with divine guidance to deliver good governance and improve the lives of citizens, while negative prayers could result in poor leadership and poor service delivery.

“It therefore becomes important for us to pray to Almighty Allah to guide the President, Governors, and all those in positions of leadership to succeed with improved security and for peace to reign in Nigeria,” Buni said.

The governor also urged prayers for security forces, noting that Yobe had witnessed the efficacy of prayers in the fight against insurgency.

“We should not relent in praying for the President, all leaders, and the security forces for us to succeed,” he said.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Foundation, Sheikh Ibrahim Dahiru Bauchi, said the group was in the state for the Maulud anniversary of Sheikh Ahmadu Tijjani.

He disclosed that representatives from Morocco, Algeria, and other countries were present to pray for Nigeria.

“We appreciate Yobe State for supporting this programme. We will pray for Yobe, other states, our leaders, and peace in Nigeria,” Sheikh Bauchi assured.
