Rainstorm Leaves Many Homeless In Bauchi, Destroys 30 Houses

A devastating rainstorm has left many residents of Waptan community in Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area of Bauchi State without homes.

The storm, which occurred over the weekend, destroyed the roofs of at least 30 houses, exposing inhabitants to the elements.

According to Saminu Abubakar, a legislative aide to the lawmaker representing Lere-Bula in the Bauchi State House of Assembly, the affected residents have been identified, and measures are being taken to provide assistance.

He assured the victims that timely assistance will be provided to repair their homes before the full onset of this year’s rainy season.

The incident has left many families without shelter, and the community is in dire need of support. The prompt response from the local government and other stakeholders is crucial in providing relief to the affected residents.
