Damaturu, Yobe State – A 24-year-old salesgirl, Sheba Simon, was stabbed by unidentified hoodlums on Sunday, April 28, 2024, around 9:30 pm near Damaturu Academy in Malari Bye Pass, Damaturu, the Yobe State capital.
According to eyewitnesses, Sheba was ambushed and stabbed in the back with a knife by the unknown attackers, who also snatched her phone. Residents of the area alerted security operatives when they discovered her lying in a pool of blood.
Sheba was rushed to the Specialist Hospital in Damaturu for medical treatment and is currently responding to treatment.
The Yobe State Police Command has confirmed the incident and condemned the violent act. In a statement issued by the Public Relations Officer, DSP Dungus Abdulkarim, the Command assured that all available means have been deployed to arrest the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
The Police also urged residents to report any suspicious movements or activities to the nearest police station or security agency for prompt action.
