Seven Civilians Killed In Borno By Terrorists’ Explosion Device

A devastating explosion occurred over the weekend along the Maiduguri-Dikwa-Gamboru Ngala road, claiming the lives of seven civilians, including a telecommunication expert, Mallam Abbashuwa Bulamarwa.

The victims’ vehicles drove on an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted between Dikwa and Logomani village, approximately 80 kilometers from Maiduguri.

This tragic incident follows a similar event just a week prior, where a vehicle carrying members of the Civilian Joint Task Force exploded on the same road, resulting in the deaths of 10 individuals.

According to reports, the victims were returning from a wedding in Gamboru, a border town with Cameroon Republic, when the explosion occurred.

A relative of one of the victims, Babagana Bulamarwa, took to social media to mourn the loss, saying, “I regret to announce the passing of our brother, Abbashuwa Bulamarwa… May Allah forgive and have mercy on his gentle soul and may Jannatul Firdaus be his final abode.”

The remains of the victims were buried the same day, following Islamic rites. Efforts to confirm the incident with the Police Public Relations Officer, Daso Kenneth, were unsuccessful at the time of reporting.
