Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and founder of the Renewed Hope Youth Initiative (RHYE), visited Yola, Adamawa State, on Sunday as part of his nationwide tour to engage Nigerian youths and promote national unity.
The visit provided an opportunity for him to interact with youth groups, political leaders, and traditional rulers, fostering grassroots connections aimed at driving holistic development across the country.
During his engagements, Tinubu emphasized the importance of unity, cooperation, and mutual understanding among Nigeria’s diverse youth population. He urged young people to embrace opportunities for skill development, economic empowerment, and active civic participation as a means of contributing to nation-building.
Discussions also focused on supporting young entrepreneurs, expanding educational opportunities, and addressing employment challenges to ensure Nigerian youths are equipped for meaningful contributions to the country’s progress.
Coinciding with the holy month of Ramadan, Tinubu’s visit included charitable activities aimed at assisting the less privileged. Under the RHYE initiative, he organized a feeding program in Yola, providing meals to vulnerable individuals and persons with disabilities.
As part of his commitment to social welfare, Tinubu also donated N6.24 million to the Modibbo Adama Teaching Hospital (MAUTH) paupers’ fund to support the medical treatment of underprivileged patients. Hospital authorities and beneficiaries lauded the gesture, describing it as a significant contribution to healthcare access for all.
While in Yola, Tinubu met with key stakeholders, including traditional rulers, political figures, and youth leaders. A highlight of his visit was his meeting with the Lamido of Adamawa, His Royal Highness Dr. Muhammad Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha, where they discussed national unity, progress, and development.
Mustapha Atiku Ribadu, Organizing Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State, described the visit as a meaningful engagement that allowed stakeholders to discuss pressing issues with Tinubu. He expressed optimism that Adamawa State would benefit positively from the discussions.
“Seyi Tinubu’s visit reaffirmed his commitment to youth empowerment, social welfare, and national unity. By engaging with local leaders, supporting the less privileged, and funding medical care for indigent patients, he demonstrated a hands-on approach to governance and development,” Ribadu said.
