Support Govt Policies To Address Current Economic Hardship – Fintiri Urges People

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has called on citizens to support policies and programmes of government geared towards bringing succour, especially in the wake of the current hardships bedevilling the country.

The Governor made the call when he granted an audience to the National President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Dr Daniel Okoh in his office in the Government House Yola, Wednesday.

Government according to him has put in an internal drastic measure to curtail the current economic crunch bedevilling the people urging citizens to embrace good policies reeled out in their interest

The religious leaders he opined have been catalysts used to bring peace and development assuring government support to the acting leadership of CAN in the state, charging them to shun personal interest and work for the body of Christ.

He commended the LCCN for its annual convention where they always pray and fast for the peace and development of the state, saying he will not take that for granted.

National President of CAN, Most Rev Dr Daniel Okoh described his visit to the state as an opportunity he has been looking out for, describing Adamawa as a place he enjoyed visiting before the unfortunate insurgency attacks that wrecked the state.

The CAN President attested that what he has heard and read about the state is what he has seen today and applauded the Governor for transforming Adamawa.

Dr Daniel Okoh also commended Governor Fintiri for restoring peace and unity in the state and expressed glad that the people have returned to their farms.

He said he is in the state to attend the 99th annual convention of the LCCN and also to bring churches together under one umbrella, under God.

While congratulating him over the validation of his election by the Supreme Court, he described the Governor as a simple person who is in touch with his people and prayed that Adamawa becomes a tourist site open for more investment.

Earlier ArchBishop Musa Panti Filibus while introducing the entourage said his eminence is in the state to fraternize and attend the LCCN convention expressing appreciation to the Governor for his laudable leadership style

The highlight of the visit was the presentation of a souvenir to the Governor and prayer for the peace and development of the state.
