The Taraba State Government, through the Ministry of Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, has announced the commencement of the screening and disbursement of outstanding gratuities and death benefits for retirees and beneficiaries of 2015.
In a statement released by the Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Dr. Sarah Enoch Adi, the exercise will begin on Monday, February 2, 2026, at the Ministry’s headquarters, located in Jalingo. The screening will kick off promptly at 9:00 a.m.
The exercise will cover all eligible pensioners from the 2015 cohort, with a final mop-up for beneficiaries from the 2013 and 2014 groups. The screening and disbursement will occur simultaneously to ensure a swift process.
Dr. Adi also highlighted that all primary beneficiaries must present the original copies of essential documents for verification. These documents include a valid identification card, the official pension approval letter, and the letter of first appointment.
The Taraba State Government has reiterated its commitment to ensuring that pensioners and their families receive the benefits they are entitled to, while the Ministry assures that all necessary measures will be put in place to make the process efficient and transparent.
