Taraba Gov Celebrates National Hackathon Victory, Offers Employment and Grants to Winners

Winners of the recent National Hackathon Competition were celebrated by the state government following an outstanding performance that saw Taraba take the top spot in all categories of the event, held in Jalingo.

Hosted by the state’s leadership on Wednesday, with the Commissioner for Digital Economy, Mr. Gideon Samuel Nonso, present, the winning participants were commended for their achievements in the field of digital innovation. Recognizing their potential, the state government announced several initiatives to support their future endeavors.

As a reward for their success, four of the competition participants have been offered employment on Taraba’s Government Tech Team, allowing them to apply their skills to support the state’s digital development goals. Additionally, educational grants have been awarded to some winners, while others will receive further training in digital innovation, helping them expand their expertise.

“Our government is committed to supporting young talent and creating an environment where they can thrive and succeed,” the Governor stated. “This victory reflects our dedication to advancing the digital economy and empowering our youth.”
