Gov. Agbu Kefas of Taraba on Thursday commissioned a state-of-the-art Dental Unit at the Taraba State Specialist Hospital, Jalingo, describing it as a milestone in his administration’s healthcare reform agenda.
Speaking at the event on Thursday, Kefas said the facility would enhance access to quality oral healthcare for residents and improve service delivery in the hospital.
“This represents a significant step in our healthcare reform initiatives. We will continue to ensure that all departments within the state’s healthcare system are adequately equipped with modern facilities, highly trained doctors, and skilled personnel to provide better health services to our people,” he said.
The governor reiterated his commitment to prioritising the welfare of citizens through sustainable investments in healthcare infrastructure, training, and service expansion.
The newly commissioned Dental Unit is equipped with advanced diagnostic tools, treatment chairs, and sterilisation equipment, designed to meet global standards in oral healthcare delivery.
Kefas expressed confidence that the facility would not only improve dental care but also serve as a training centre for medical professionals in the state.
He urged residents to take advantage of the new unit and assured that more projects aimed at strengthening the state’s health sector would be delivered under his administration.
