The Governor of Taraba State, Agbu Kefas, has promised to assist victims of the recent windstorm in Takum local government council
A devastating storm that occurred on Tuesday in Takum, left many families homeless.
Making the pledge on Wednesday through his Special Adviser on Media and Digital Communication, Emmanuel Bello, Kefas said his administration would find ways to support victims in rebuilding their homes destroyed by a storm.
The governor said his administration has dispatched a team of state officials to visit Takum and assess the damage.
He said the high-powered delegation was mandated to take stock of all the damages proffer the best ways to handle the immediate situation and provide ways to stop any future occurrences.
Also speaking of the incident, the Majority Leader of the state House of Assembly, Jethro Yakubu, said the governor has set up an assessment team to find out the actual state of damage to enable the government to assist the people.
He gave assurance that the state government under, Kefas was going to come to the aid of the people and provide them with building materials to rebuild their homes.
