In an effort to enhance solid minerals exploitation and exploration in Taraba State, Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas embarked on a trip to Ghana.
During his visit, he met with prominent figures in the mining sector to gain insight into mining revenue generation.
He also met with former Ghanaian President John Mahama and visited various mining sites in the subregion, including ASANTE and BIBIANI-Gold mining company ANHWIASO-BEKWAI GHANA, accompanied by major industry leaders.
This move aligns with Governor Kefas’ commitment to the development of the mining sector as a key driver of economic growth in Taraba State.
His administration aims to harness the state’s mineral resources, leveraging knowledge transfer and training of local mining experts with the support of developmental partners like Finland, as indicated in a recent agreement signed in January 2024.
