Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has inaugurated a new Development Mobilization and Investment Committee focused on mobilizing resources and fostering partnerships to enhance the state’s economic and infrastructure growth.
A statement released on Monday in Jalingo by the Secretary to the Government of the State (SGS), Barrister Gebon Timothy Kataps, detailed the committee’s purpose and announced its leadership.
The committee will be chaired by Haruna Manu, the immediate past Deputy Governor of Taraba State, while Barrister Uba Maigari, the current Minister of State for Regional Development, will serve as Alternate Chairman. Senator Shuaibu Isa Lau was appointed as Vice Chairman.
The committee also includes prominent figures from both major political parties, the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Members include the senator representing Taraba South, David Jimkuta, alongside Sani Abubakar Danladi, Armaya’u Abubakar, Jafaru Yakubu Chiroma, Mark Bako Useini, Sadiq Abbas Tafida, and Engineer Ahmed Gamaliel. Barrister Umar Bangari will act as Committee Secretary.
Governor Kefas’s office indicated that the bipartisan nature of the committee reflects a strategic initiative to unify political leaders towards the shared goal of attracting development and investment to Taraba State.
