Taraba: Lawmaker Calls for Investment in Sports to Reduce Youth Unemployment

The Chairman of the Taraba State House of Assembly Committee on Sports, Anas Shu’aibu, has urged the government, individuals, and corporate organizations to invest in the sports sector to reduce youth unemployment in the state.

Shu’aibu emphasized the potential of sports to generate revenue and promote personal development, citing the success of recent competitions in the state.

He announced plans to revive the Taraba Football Club and Taraba Queens, which went extinct under the previous administration, and praised Governor Agbu Kefas for prioritizing sports and youth development.

The lawmaker also commended the Commissioner of Youth and Sports Development, Joseph Joshua, for his commitment to the governor’s agenda and promised to work closely with the ministry to revive all sports in the state.
