A tragedy occured in Ningi Local Government Area of Bauchi State as 15-year-old Adamu Isa, son of a retired police officer, met a tragic end when he was allegedly stabbed to death by his friend, Abubakar Isa.
The fatal stabbing, which occurred on March 27, unfolded during a heated argument between the two friends, resulting in Abubakar reportedly using a knife to stab Adamu in the neck near the throat, leading to his untimely demise even before reaching the hospital.
While the exact cause of the altercation remains unclear, the Bauchi State Police Command’s spokesperson, SP Ahmed Wakili, confirmed the incident. The police were alerted by a distress call from retired DSP Kasuwa Isa, residing behind the INEC office in Ningi, reporting the tragic event.
Upon receiving the report, the Ningi Police Division swiftly responded, with the victim, Adamu Isa, being rushed to the General Hospital in Ningi, where he was pronounced dead by a medical professional.
The suspect, Abubakar Isa, also 15 years old and residing behind the NEPA office in Ningi, has been apprehended and is currently in police custody as investigations into the matter continue to unravel the circumstances surrounding this devastating loss.
