Three Boko Haram Fighters Surrender To Nigerian Troops In Borno

Three Boko Haram fighters, along with their families, have surrendered to the troops of Operation Hadin Kai in Borno State.

According to sources, the militants, identified as Umar Ibn Khatab, Ibn Salih, and Abdulrahman, surrendered to the troops of 21 Armoured Brigade Bama in the early hours of May 29, 2024. They were accompanied by their wives and children.

It is understood that the fighters fled from the terrorists’ enclave in Njimia following intensified operations by the troops of Operation Desert Sanity III within the Sambisa Forest.

The surrendered militants brought with them two AK-47 rifles containing 10 x 7.62mm x 39mm special ammunition, one bicycle, and a mobile phone.

The terrorists and their families are currently in military custody for profiling.
