Men of the Yobe State Police Command have arrested three suspected fraudsters for criminal conspiracy, impersonation, receiving, buying stolen property and fraud while disguising as an NGO to swindle their victims of N78,900,000.
The spokesman of the command, DSP Dungus Abdulkareem, who disclosed this to newsmen, said the command received a complaint of criminal conspiracy, cheating and criminal breach of trust from two people, Mohammed Modu, that the suspects collected 180 bags of maize at N40,00 for each while the payment was agreed to be made after the supply reached its destination to an NGO based in Maiduguri, Borno State, but that no payment was made for several days and no goods returned.
He said the principal suspect, Hajiya Zainab Ahmed (44) of Anguwan Sanusi, Kaduna State, was arrested in Kaduna State, while her accomplices, Sunday Ezra Haruna (35) and Ishaku Abdulsallam (40), were arrested Maiduguri and Kano respectively.

He said investigation revealed that the suspects defrauded a total of N78,900,000.00 from four victims, farmers and marketers.
