President Bola Tinubu has given his nod to the appointment of a fresh leadership team for the National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children Education.
Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President for Media & Publicity, announced these appointments on Monday.
Brigadier-General Lawal Ja’afar Isa (Rtd) has been designated as the Chairman of the Commission’s Board, while Dr. Muhammad Sani Idriss Elbulaturee assumes the role of Executive Secretary/CEO.
General Ja’afar Isa, a distinguished figure, previously served as the Military Administrator of Kaduna State from 1993 to 1996, bringing a wealth of experience to his new position.
Dr. Muhammad Sani, with master’s and doctorate degrees in Islamic Studies, boasts an impressive background. His past roles include Director-General of Al-Iman School in Lafia, Commissioner of Basic/Secondary Education in Yobe State, Chairman of the Nigerian Arabic Language Village in Borno State, among others.
The President anticipates that the newly appointed officials will leverage their extensive expertise in managing this crucial Commission, vital for addressing societal challenges. The administration’s commitment to providing comprehensive education for Nigeria’s out-of-school children is paramount for securing the nation’s future.
