The disbursement of the Tertiary Institution Staff Support Fund (TISSF) loans has officially commenced, with several beneficiaries confirming receipt of funds in their bank accounts.
Reports from various applicants on Tuesday indicated that staff of tertiary institutions, particularly those whose application dashboards displayed āDisbursement in Progress,ā have begun receiving credit alerts.
Beneficiaries from institutions such as the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID), as well as customers of GTBank and Fidelity Bank, confirmed that their loan payments had been successfully processed.
One beneficiary wrote, āCongratulations! TISSF is dropping now. GTBank and Fidelity Bank applicants should check their balances if their dashboards show āDisbursement in Progress.ā Alhamdulillah, my TISSF loan has just dropped.ā
The development follows an earlier announcement by the TISSF management that all technical work on the loan portal had been concluded and that successful applicants would receive their offers and payments through the Bank of Industry (BOI).
The TISSF scheme, aimed at supporting staff of tertiary institutions across Nigeria, provides soft loans to enhance welfare and professional development within the education sector.
Beneficiaries have expressed appreciation to the fund administrators and partner banks for ensuring a smooth disbursement process.
As of the time of filing this report, further payments are expected to continue in batches, with more applicants awaiting confirmation of credit alerts.
