Gunmen abducted and killed the traditional ruler of Riruwai village in Lame District, Toro Local Government Area, Alhaji Garba Badamasi.
Reports indicate that the abduction took place on March 15, 2024, when the gunmen invaded the ruler’s palace, causing panic among residents with gunshots.
Allegedly, the kidnappers did not make any ransom demands after taking Alhaji Badamasi captive. His lifeless body was discovered by villagers the following day near the village, where he had been abandoned by the abductors.
Despite attempts to reach out to the Bauchi State Police Command for comments on the incident, no response was received at the time of reporting. SP Ahmed Wakili, the Command’s spokesperson, did not respond to inquiries made via messages and calls.
