Troops of 6 Brigade/Sector 3 Operation WHIRL STROKE, in collaboration with other security agencies, have arrested several criminals and terrorists in various local government areas of Taraba State.
According to a statement by Captain Olubodunde Oni, Acting Assistant Director, 6 Brigade, Army Public Relations, the arrests were made between August 18 and 21, 2024.
Those arrested include a suspected kidnapper, David Musa, in Takum LGA; suspected gunrunners, James Nuhu and Dan-Asabe Ango, in Wukari LGA; and a terrorists’ kingpin and arms trafficker, Isyaka Yusuf, at Bantaji Market.
Additionally, seven suspects were arrested along Chikai – Bantaji Market in Wukari LGA, and two others, Muhammad Usman and Abdulqadir Sule, were arrested along Wukari – Ibi Road.
The suspects are currently undergoing investigation, and preliminary findings have linked them to various crimes, including kidnapping, cattle rustling, and attacks on innocent individuals.
