Troops Arrest Suspected Boko Haram Logistics Supplier in Maiduguri

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai, in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), have arrested a suspected Boko Haram logistics supplier, Ahmadu Mohammed Dogo, in Maiduguri, Borno State.

Military sources confirmed that the suspect was apprehended while attempting to transport fuel concealed in drink bottles, a method commonly used by insurgent collaborators to evade detection.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the fuel was allegedly destined for Gamboru-Ngala, a strategic border town often exploited by insurgents as a major logistics route for smuggling supplies.

Security officials described Dogo’s arrest as a significant breakthrough in ongoing counterinsurgency operations aimed at disrupting the supply chains that sustain terrorist activities in the North East.

“This arrest is part of our intensified efforts to cut off all logistical and financial support to terrorist elements operating within and around the Lake Chad region,” a senior military officer told Insight Northeast.

The suspect is currently in custody and undergoing further interrogation by security agencies.

Authorities have reiterated their call on residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the nearest security outfit, stressing that public cooperation remains key to ending terrorism in the region.
