Troops Intensify Crackdown on Terrorist Logistics in Northeast, Arrest Suspects

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai, supported by the Air Component, Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), and local hunters, have intensified their offensive and logistics blockade operations across the North East, recording major breakthroughs from July 15 to 22.

During the operations, several terrorist supply routes in Adamawa and Borno States were disrupted. Seven suspected logistics suppliers were apprehended, and items recovered included motorcycles, food supplies, fuel, communication devices, arms, improvised explosive device (IED) materials, and hard drugs. Notably, security forces also arrested a suspect with unauthorized Starlink equipment and another with large quantities of hard drugs.

Troops executed successful raids and ambushes in Gwoza, Kaga, Bama, Monguno, and Konduga LGAs, neutralizing terrorists and averting planned attacks. Ten family members of terrorists surrendered in Bama LGA, while a significant interception on July 22 led to the seizure of advanced equipment and supplies en route to Gamboru.

The Chief of Army Staff praised the bravery and diligence of the troops, reaffirming the Nigerian Army’s resolve to defeat terrorism and restore lasting peace in the region.
