Troops Kills 10 Boko Haram Terrorists in Sambisa Forest, Destroys Structure

In a precision dawn attack, Nigerian troops of Operation Hadin Kai launched a devastating assault on a Boko Haram terrorist enclave in Sambisa Forest, killing 10 terrorists and destroying their hideouts.

The troops, in collaboration with the Hybrid Force, targeted the terrorist group in Garin Ba’abba, Bama Local Government Area.

The encounter, which took place on Sunday, June 29, 2024, inflicted severe losses on the terrorist group, compelling the surviving fighters to retreat and abandon their camp in disarray.

The military reported no casualties or injuries on their side, while the terrorist structures were completely destroyed.

In a related development, a Boko Haram fighter, Ibrahim Tide, 20, surrendered to the troops of 21 Armored Brigade in Bama Local Government Area on June 30, 2024.

According to intelligence sources, the terrorist surrendered from Garin Mallam Village in Sambisa Forest, a known stronghold of the terrorist group.

Preliminary interrogation revealed that the surrendered terrorist was in possession of an AK47 rifle with registration number, one magazine containing 11 rounds of 7.62 x 39mm special ammunition, and a Techno mobile phone.

The surrendered terrorist has been handed over to the Military Intelligence Regiment for further action.
