Troops Neutralise Terrorists, Recover Explosives In Sambisa Clearance Operation

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have neutralised several Boko Haram terrorists and recovered arms and explosives during a clearance operation in Sambisa Forest.

The operation, which took place on May 13, was part of ongoing efforts to flush out remnants of terrorist elements from the region.

Military sources said the troops, backed by aerial reconnaissance, identified enemy positions around Garin Baaba, leading to a successful engagement.

Items recovered during the operation included bomb containers intended for Vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Devices (VBIEDs), pressure plates, and other components of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs).

Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) teams safely detonated the recovered materials on site.

According to the military, clearance operations in the area are still ongoing to ensure the total elimination of terrorist threats in the region.
